Clearance is a file, not a phone call
Customs clearance in Pakistan is the work of getting a shipment through the official file so it can leave the airport, the seaport, or the export shed. Customs brokerage Pakistan, in the way we provide it, means checking the documents, preparing the declaration, and staying with the file until release or until a hold is explained. Where a formal entry needs a licensed agent, that agent files it. We do not claim a licence we have not put on this site.
Import clearance Pakistan and export clearance both fail for the same ordinary reason: the papers do not match the cargo. A goods declaration can only be as accurate as the invoice you send. If a value, a count, or a description is wrong, tell us before it is filed.
What clearance support includes
A document check
Invoice, packing list, and the transport document are read against each other before a declaration is prepared.
Import or export path
Import clearance Pakistan and export clearance are different files. We ask which gate the cargo is actually at.
Goods declaration support
The declaration is prepared from your documents. A licensed agent files it when the shipment requires a formal entry.
Answers to queries
If customs or the terminal asks a question, we come back to you for the fact. We do not guess a value or a quantity.
Coordination with the carrier
The file stays tied to the bill of lading or the air waybill so the cargo and the papers arrive as one story.
Status until release
We tell you when the goods are released, and we tell you when they are not, including the reason we have been given.
Handover to delivery
Once released, the cargo can move to the truck or the consignee named on the booking.
How a clearance file moves
You send the document set
Invoice, packing list, transport document, and any permit or certificate the goods need. Drafts are welcome. The filed set has to be final.
We compare papers with the cargo
Counts, weights, and descriptions are checked. A mismatch is fixed before filing, because it is harder to explain afterwards.
The declaration is prepared
The goods declaration is drawn from those papers. Classification and value come from what you have stated, not from a convenient guess.
The entry is filed
A licensed agent submits the formal entry where the law requires one. We stay on the file and pass queries back to you.
Release or a hold
Release means the cargo can leave the customs area. A hold means there is a question, an inspection, or a payment still open. We say which.
Import and export are not the same file
Customs brokerage Pakistan is a coordination job as much as a form. The importer or exporter still owns the truth of the shipment. They must say what it is, what it is worth, and that it is allowed to move.
| File | You are | Typical pressure |
|---|---|---|
| Import | Bringing goods into Pakistan for a buyer, a factory, or personal use. | Duty, an inspection, or a permit before the cargo leaves the terminal. |
| Export | Sending goods out of Pakistan against an order. | The cutoff of the flight or the vessel while the file is still open. |
Customs documents we ask for
Send copies first. We will say if an original or a permit is missing. Do not wait until the cargo is already at the terminal.
Commercial invoice
Seller, buyer, description, quantity, and value. A proforma is not a substitute once the goods have shipped.
Packing list
How the goods are packed, with weights and counts that match the invoice and the freight.
Transport document
Bill of lading or air waybill, with the consignee named correctly.
Permits and certificates
Some food, chemicals, medicines, and used goods need an approval before filing. Tell us the commodity in plain words so we can ask early.
Your registration details
Businesses should send the tax and customs registration details they already use. We will not invent a number.
What changes a clearance quote
Customs clearance in Pakistan is not a flat fee on this site. The file and the cargo decide the work.
- Import or export. The two files do not take the same steps, and an import can include a duty payment you make yourself.
- How complete the papers are. A clean set is one job. A set that contradicts itself is several rounds of questions.
- The commodity. Restricted goods and anything that needs a permit take longer than a straightforward manufactured item.
- Inspections. If customs examines the cargo, the time and the terminal cost are not something we can waive.
- Where the cargo sits. An airport file and a seaport file are different desks, different hours, and different storage clocks.
Questions people ask first
Importers and exporters ask these before they hand over a file.
Get a QuoteOnly if the written quote says we will advance it. Otherwise duty is your payment to the authority. We do not bury it inside a freight number.
No. The invoice, the packing list, and the goods have to tell the same story. We would rather delay filing than submit a description we know is wrong.
It is the formal statement of the shipment to Pakistan Customs. It is prepared from your invoice and packing list, then filed by a licensed agent when the entry requires one.
It depends on the documents, the commodity, and whether customs examines the goods. We will not promise a same-day release. We will tell you what is still open.
Often yes, especially by air or sea into Pakistan. The document set is smaller than a commercial import, and it still has to list the contents and a value.
